Anthony J. McCullough, Pastor
Originally from Dayton, Ohio, Tony earned a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Auburn University and worked for 13 years as a professional civil engineer. After serving as a lay speaker in the United Methodist Church, he felt a calling into full-time pastoral ministry and completed seminary at Candler School of Theology (Emory University) in 2013.  Tony loves to spend time with his family, play golf and attend sporting events. Other churches he has served in the Alabama-West Florida Conference include Booth UMC (2009-2010) and River City UMC (2010-2015) in Montgomery. He and his wife, Carmen, have three children – Arden, Adeline and Holt. Tony was appointed as pastor of FUMC Brewton in July 2015. 
 
Sandi CarlsonSandi Carlson, Office Administrator
Sandi has served as a secretary at FUMC since 2006. She is an active member of First Church of the Nazarene in East Brewton. She and her husband, Jeff, have three children – Abbie, Christian, and Travis.
 
 
 
 
 
Jamie Woodson 3Jamie Woodson, Director of Student Ministries
Jamie is a native of Brewton and transferred her membership to FUMC in 2014. Jamie has one son, Brantley, and is currently a Bible teacher for the K-3rd grade group at FUMC. Jamie is passionate about teaching children the word of God, and will be coordinating our student ministries and spiritual formation for various age levels (pre-school, children, tweens and youth).

Connie WilkesConnie Wilkes, Choir Director
Connie has served as the interim Choir Director off and on since 1998 and has directed Handbells for 16 years.  She started band when she was eleven and singing in choir when she was four years old.  She is a Music Education Graduate of Troy State University.  Connie was a member of the Troy State “Sound of the South” marching band, Symphonic Band, Concert Bands, Opera Orchestra, and Collegiate Singers.  She first became a Methodist and Choir Director at Ashland First United Methodist church in 1985.  She is now the Director of Bands at Jay High School.  Connie has three children, six grandchildren, and one Cat!
 
Lillie BarksdaleLillie Barksdale, Office Assistant/Nursery Coordinator
Lillie has served as the nursery coordinator since February 2007. She recently became the family ministries coordinator and office assistant. Lillie is an active member of Gateway to Heaven PHOG. Lillie and her husband Bennie have 3 children- Nehemiah, Angel and Christopher.
 
 
 
 
Carin DerricksCarin Diercks, Church Hostess
Carin is a native of Wisconsin, but has lived in Brewton since 1993. She has been the church hostess since 1996. Carin not only cooks for the Wednesday night suppers but also for numerous activities sponsored by the church. She and her husband, Bob, have three sons – Cory, Trevor, and Nash.
 
 
 
 
Mary Ellen Byron (3)Mary Ellen Byron, Pianist
Mary Ellen has played piano at FUMC since March, 2000.  She has played for churches since she was twelve years old.  She is the mother of four grown children and now has three grandchildren.
 
 
 
 
Barbara Commander (2)Barbara Comander, Organist
Barbara began playing piano and then transitioned to the organ early in life. Her father, Mercer Comander, owned Comander Funeral Home in DeFuniak Spring, FL and there was always a need for someone to play piano or organ at funeral services. While working as a medical technologist for a cardiologist and then at Walton County Hospital laboratory, she also played for funerals at the funeral home and in churches across the county. She retired from D. W.McMillan Hospital in July 2001. Previously she was the organist at St. Maurice Catholic Church and continues to play there when needed.
 
Linda McEwanLinda McEwan, Organist
Linda Mason McEwan began taking organ lessons at age 12 and began playing for services at 14.  She played at Brewton FUMC through graduation from T.R. Miller High School, then attended Huntingdon College, studying organ with Dr. Harald Rohlig.  During college, Linda was organist at St. Luke UMC in Montgomery. After college graduation Linda taught elementary school for 37 years, in addition to serving as organist in Fort Walton Beach, Victorville, CA (26 years), then back to Brewton in 2006. Linda and Dick have been married for 38 years and share 5 children, 15 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.
