Reverend Bobby Ellisor, Senior Pastor
Rev. Bobby Ellisor is the son, grandson, and great grandson of Methodist ministers.  He was raised in Mobile, Alabama. Prior to coming to Brewton FUMC, Rev. Ellisor served as Pastor of First United Methodist Church in Prattville, AL after having served as Pastor of the Gadsden Street United Methodist church in Pensacola, FL.  He has also served as Senior Pastor of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Fort Walton Beach, Fl.; Saint Paul United Methodist Church in Gulf Breeze, Fl.; and First United Methodist Church in Defuniak Springs, Florida where he was the recipient of the Annual Conference Denman Evangelism Award. Rev. Ellisor has served our Annual Conference on both the district and conference levels.  In the last several years he has been a member of the Pensacola District Committee on Ministry.  Prior to that Bobby served as Chairperson of the Conference Board of Worship and Evangelism for 4 years.  He currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the Bay Pines district.  Bobby graduated from the Troy State University where he majored in both Psychology and Sociology.  Following his undergraduate work, he attended and graduated with a Master of Divinity degree from the Candler School of Theology at Emory University in Atlanta. Rev. Ellisor is married to Faith and they have 3 sons – Justin (29), Taylor (26), and Matthew (14).  They have one grandson, Colby (4).  In his spare time, Rev. Ellisor enjoys playing golf and spending time with his family.
Connie Wilkes

Connie Wilkes, Choir Director Connie has served as the interim Choir Director off and on since 1998 and has directed Handbells for 16 years.  She started band when she was eleven and singing in choir when she was four years old.  She is a Music Education Graduate of Troy State University.  Connie was a member of the Troy State “Sound of the South” marching band, Symphonic Band, Concert Bands, Opera Orchestra, and Collegiate Singers.  She first became a Methodist and Choir Director at Ashland First United Methodist church in 1985.  She is now the Director of Bands at Jay High School.  Connie has three children, six grandchildren, and one Cat

Brittany Fuqua, Contemporary Music Director

Brittany is originally from Knoxville, TN where she attended the University of Tennessee. She has served in praise and worship in some capacity since she was seventeen years old. She is married to Randy and is mom to two girls, Charlotte and Aubrey.

Jolene Yuhasz, Office Administrator/Financial Secretary
Jolene joined FUMC in May 2019. She is an active member of Liberty Baptist Church in Pineview, AL. She and her husband Shawn, have two boys- Mason and Garrett.
Lillie Barksdale
Lillie Barksdale, Office Assistant/Nursery Coordinator
Lillie has served as the nursery coordinator since February 2007. She recently became the family ministries coordinator and office assistant. Lillie is an active member of Gateway to Heaven Church. Lillie and her husband, Bennie, have three children- Nehemiah, Angel and Christopher and one dog – Storme. lbarksdale@brewtonfirst.org
Dustin Kennedy, Director of Youth Ministries
I am a native of Jasper, Al and graduated from Walker High School in 2009.  After high school, I attended the University of Montevallo where I received an undergraduate and then a graduate degree in Education.  I then spent 5 years in the Birmingham area teaching at both the middle and high school levels.  I married a lovely T.R. Miller grad named Katie Edge and have one son named Maxwell (Max). dkennedy@brewtonfirst.org

Mary Ellen Byron, Pianist
Mary Ellen has played piano at FUMC since March, 2000.  She has played for churches since she was twelve years old.  She is the mother of four grown children and now has seven grandchildren. Her favorite place to be is in the yard working in her flower beds.
Carin Derricks
Carin Diercks, Church Hostess
Carin is a native of Wisconsin, but has lived in Brewton since 1993. She has been the church hostess since 1996. Carin not only cooks for the Wednesday night suppers but also for numerous activities sponsored by the church. She and her husband, Bob, have three sons – Cory, Trevor, and Nash.
Barbara Commander (2)Barbara Comander, Organist
Barbara began playing piano and then transitioned to the organ early in life. Her father, Mercer Comander, owned Comander Funeral Home in DeFuniak Spring, FL and there was always a need for someone to play piano or organ at funeral services. While working as a medical technologist for a cardiologist and then at Walton County Hospital laboratory, she also played for funerals at the funeral home and in churches across the county. She retired from D. W.McMillan Hospital in July 2001. Previously she was the organist at St. Maurice Catholic Church and continues to play there when needed.
Linda McEwanLinda McEwan, Organist
Linda Mason McEwan began taking organ lessons at age 12 and began playing for services at 14.  She played at Brewton FUMC through graduation from T.R. Miller High School, then attended Huntingdon College, studying organ with Dr. Harald Rohlig.  During college, Linda was organist at St. Luke UMC in Montgomery. After college graduation Linda taught elementary school for 37 years, in addition to serving as organist in Fort Walton Beach, Victorville, CA (26 years), then back to Brewton in 2006. Linda and Dick have been married for 38 years and share 5 children, 15 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.
