FUMC Adult Ministries
FUMC has many wonderful opportunities for adults in all stages of life to grow in their faith, serve others and live life together!

Sunday School and Small Groups:

  • Faith in Action Class – This women’s class uses a variety of short-term studies with lots of discussion. (Meets in the Aldersgate Classroom.)
  • Wesley Bible Study Class – A class for adults not used to going to Sunday School. This discussion oriented class studies a variety of topics. (Meets in the Susan Albertolli Classroom. Led by Craig Peterson.)
  • John Douglas Class This is a Bible study class for people who want to delve deeper into the scripture. (Meets in the John Douglas classroom. Led by Dick McEwan.)
  • Oxford Class – Features discussion centered on the International Lesson Series. (Meets in the Oxford Classroom. Led by Dwain Alverson.)
  • Aldersgate Class – A lecture style class for senior adults using the Internationl Lesson Series. (Meets in the Aldersgate Classroom. ) 

United Methodist Women:

FUMC women have four UMW circles that meet throughout the year.
  • Circle I – meets for lunch on at noon on the 3rd Tuesday of the                 month
  • Circle II – meets  at 9:30 a.m. on the 3rd Tuesday of the month
  • The Guild – meets at 2:00 p.m. on the 2nd Tuesday of the month
United Methodist Men: The United Methodist Mens’ Ministry meets on the 1st Sunday morning of each month at FUMC,  for fellowship and special speakers. This ministry raises money through ham, chicken and Boston butt sales and uses the money to build wheelchair ramps for those in need throughout Escambia County (AL).  The men are also active in other ways of service and study throughout the year!  All men are invited to join in.
PrimeTimers (55+ Adults): This group of adults, age 55 and over, are some of the most active and joyful people in our church. They meet on the last Thursday of the month at noon for a special themed lunch and a various other times through the year for special events.
